Electronic components

What we do and don't do:    (Browse Components - suspended for now)

We are currently (2008/10/14) suspending small/discrete component sales. There are 2 reasons for that: (1) We are currently focussing our attention on the sale of re-packaged components and (2) temporarily dropping discrete components due to the large differential between price of unit and shipping costs.

We will, however and eventually, list discrete components again when the re-packaged modules are in full production. We will need to do this to give customers the option to use the individual components instead of the modules, especially in large production orders.

First of all we don't stock everything. We are well connected and if you require some common or obscure component we can enquire for you to find out what the MOQ, cost and lead-time will be. Secondly we don't do small quantities, e.g. 1x 10k resistor and 2 BC337 transistors. The only place where you will find odd quantities of components will be in the kits. Keep in mind that we don't have a sales counter and that the components will have to be couriered, so if you really want that single 10k resistor it is going to cost you :-)

We do keep stock (and can get more) of components that we use a lot of. Example EP1C6 FPGAs, certain 8051 CPUs and 100nF 0805 capacitors. Many times we need to produce 20 circuits and then end up buying MOQ of 5000 components. We then project how much of the components we will need and place the rest up for sale. You will find broken reels, half filled tubes etc... Many times we will over-order just because we got a good deal or not sure how much we really need.

Sometimes a few of my clients will also have excess stock that will be listed here.
