The main reason I got into electronics was mainly for music. Then I studied engineering, which took all the fun out of it. While the engineering side pays the bills I spend all of my 'other time' (that is between 1am and 3am in the morning :-) on what would be called fringe technologies. I still do the music thing and regularly play guitar, bass guitar, keyboards and even occasionally attempt to sing. I am slowly but sure expanding on my recording studio, but don't expect to find my CD at your nearest music store. Music is important for electronic engineers. From it you will understand the basics of waves and things like power densities, noise and bandwidth, far better than reading from a book.

We are also moving into an era where fossil fuels will just dry up, leaving us stranded. A lot of my spare time goes into the fringe science fields of tapping energy from non fossil sources. This includes the normal things like sun, wind and water energy, BUT I am always looking with an open mind at the 'impossible'. Lots have been written about Zero Point Energy and tapping into the vacuum. Many people claim that they got it right but do not release their findings and lab setups. Some of those that do release information look like they flunked 1st grade. In this page I will place links and articles of various kinds, even the stupid ones, as I have found that many of them are touching a basic truth which none of us understand as yet.

The world needs dreamers. I remember when I was 5 years old I asked my dad how can we get to distant planets. He said it was impossible. I suggested that the 'smart' people just build a machine. Later, at school, the teachers tried to extinguish the way-out ideas in my head. But I still believe teleportation is a possibility. The 'system' does the brain washing so effectively that when a person graduates with a masters they have difficulty believing that they could survive in the everyday world. Sometimes when I look at science fiction movies I wonder who came up first with the ideas and terminology. So when we hear terms like 'temporal displacement', 'ZPE', 'Faster-Than-Light' etc... we tend to dismiss it as science fiction. When you talk to somebody about free energy they get all excited and then they start talking about a movie. People forget that other inventors like Faraday, Tesla etc... tinkered until they found something. Kelvin spent his honeymoon diving into a pool and measuring temperature at different depths. But today the money is given to the PhDs who have already lost their creative edge. Designers are continuously building the 'better mouse trap'. Car manufacturers are trying to perfect the motor car although everybody knows that the engines are very ineffective.

We need just 1 person out of 6 000 000 000 people to solve the energy crisis. One is all it takes. History has a few of them well documented. Our problem is that we are dependent on the 'professionals' out there. We depend on them to create a better future. But now we have better cell phones, PCs, TVs, DVDs, advanced medicine instead of clean air, unstressed lives and healthy food. Just think about this: If you are about 20 years old and thinking of having kids that your children will probably never have the chance of driving a fossil fuel powered car. In a few years there won't be any fossil fuels left. It took 300 000 000 years to take most the carbon from our atmosphere and we are putting it all back in about 150 - 200 years. Our future is advertised in the best new 3D graphics on TV. Your retirement plan is well organized, but what is really going to happen in 10, 20 or 30 years from now? If you are 20 years old do you really think you are going to retire in a nice apartment at the coast (with the water levels rising)? We are currently screwing up our retirement and wrecking the world of our children.

Needs create inventions, but a complacent society does not really need anything (until it is tool late). We have to create the need by increasing our standards. We need to dream higher.
